NOLA is so much like Paris

I was a little bit scared walking in the empty streets of NOLA very early in the morning… but it felt good to see the two tourists holding hands, and I kept following them until I took the best shot…

NOLA, my run, my croissant.

One of my favorite things while we were in NOLA was waking up early in the morning to watch the fog cover the harbor, and then crossing the railway, running through the empty French Market and finally stopping by the croissant place.

 

 

 

I love New Orleans

Since Monday Jim and I are in NOLA.  I don’t know what I love more; if it is the long morning run along the Mississippi River or the pain au chocolat from the Croissant D’Or; if it is jazz night at Preservation Hall or dining at Iris….

We are staying here till Sunday, am sure I will post more pictures soon.

I never understood why, growing up, I always liked to read over and over this part of Proust’s book… it is fascinating to see that someone could ruin his life, want to die and fall in love with someone he didn’t like and who wasn’t his type ♣
